Video and PowerPoint for the 2016 WALSH Building Science Seminar

Walsh Construction hosted our 2016 Building Science Seminar in both Seattle and Portland this summer with a focus on energy consumption reduction and the design and construction of wood structures.

During the morning, presenters focused on low-energy/net-zero energy buildings, embodied energy and life cycle considerations in building structures, while in the afternoon presentations included important considerations such as movement, durability and energy efficiency. The day closed with case studies in mass timber architecture, technology and design.

We were very fortunate to be joined by industry experts including Ralph DiNola and Cathy Higgins of New Buildings Institute, Frances Yang of Arup, Graham Finch of RDH Building Sciences, Joseph Mayo of Mahlum.

Videos and PDFs of each of the presentations are included below.
