We are thrilled to celebrate with Bridge Meadows and Carleton Hart Architecture PC the grand opening of Bridge Meadows|Redmond and in welcoming children, parents, and elders to their new homes in Central Oregon! We are honored to partner with Bridge Meadows in their dedication to building intentional intergenerational living for the benefit of families and seniors. Our two organizations have celebrated the success of building three intergenerational communities together over the past 10 years – North Portland, Beaverton and now Redmond. What started as a concept that had major headwinds in the beginning, is now being celebrated nationally for bringing innovative solutions to healthy living for families and seniors. Our ɁálɁal Together project, for Chief Seattle Club was host to an affordable housing press conference midday Tuesday! Speakers included Chief Seattle Club’s Executive Director Derrick Belgarde, MPA, Senator Maria Cantwell, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, WA State Housing Finance Commission’s Executive Director Steve Walker, Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, and Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers.

30Bellevue provides 63 affordable homes for families, seniors, and veterans on an existing surface parking lot behind St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in the North Towne neighborhood of Bellevue. Congratulations to the 30Bellevue team!

Northwest Housing Alternatives Campus Redevelopment Nearing Completion
We are deeply grateful to be a part of the team for the Northwest Housing Alternatives Campus Redevelopment which will provide much needed affordable housing and services to families! The new and improved facilities will enable NHA to continue to provide crucial housing services for low-income families, veterans, seniors and people with special needs. The campus is one of our Partner Projects as O’Neill/Walsh Community Builders (OWCB) with O’Neill Construction Group) and designed by MWA Architects!

We are so excited to be a part of the Pleasant Avenue Apartments which will bring permanent affordable housing to the veterans community! The project will provide 24-units of housing serving chronically homeless and severely low-income veterans and their families.
Tom Mathews of Walsh is named LIHI’s Housing Hero
LIHI’s Sharon Lee said Mathews helped change the stereotype of low-income housing, making it a community asset that gives dignity to families.
Sharon Lee and Tom Mathews have known each other for about two decades, and that relationship has helped each of their businesses grow.
Lee, executive director of the Low Income Housing Institute, recently presented Mathews with LIHI’s Housing Hero Award for his work on nonprofit housing, including 11 projects for LIHI.

O’Neill/Walsh Community Builders (OWCB) recently completed The Center for Hope and Recovery which is a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility in Northeast Portland which includes LifeWorks NW’s 36-bed Project Network and the 32-unit Home Forward Beech Street Apartments.

American Baptist Homes of the West recently opened the Pearl on Oyster Bay senior apartments at 550 Russell Road, within the Bay Vista Hope VI neighborhood developed by the Bremerton Housing Authority on the old 83-acre Westpark public housing site.
Mercy Housing Northwest to Build Additional Transit-Oriented Affordable Housing
Sound Transit is selling three-quarters of an acre near the Othello Link light-rail station to Mercy Housing Northwest so the not-for-profit developer can build a mixed-use building with 108 affordable apartments.
