This $40 million retirement community was built from the ground up on an extensive 10 1/2 acre site.  There are a total of 233 units of assisted and independent living.  Built over an 18-month duration, URCAD was developed by Pacific Retirement Services at the request of the University of California at Davis to provide a continuum of residential living and health care for retired faculty members. This award-winning CCRC was the first project of its type in Davis. Built on a 10.5 acre site with 12 buildings, it includes 233 units with housing options for independent and assisted living, memory care, and includes a skilled nursing facility of 25,785 SF.

Components of the project include the 312,440 SF main building over a 36,000 SF below grade parking, a dining room, an auditorium and a full commercial kitchen.  In addition, there are two-story, 20,800 SF garden apartments with 16-units, nine single-story cottage buildings with 18 units each totaling 30,000 SF and the skilled nursing facility with 25,785 SF.
