This six-story, 170,000 SF structure on the corner of 12th and Burnside on Portland’s East side offers 132 units of multi-family, wood-housing over a one-story concrete frame podium structure that houses retail space and parking. The Linden features a paved, landscaped central courtyard; a garden roof terrace on the third floor; a green roof on the fourth floor; and an eco-roof on the sixth floor. Units include balconies with spectacular views of the city and the ground floor contains four commercial retail spaces.

Of note is the 25,000 SF ecoroof at four different levels of the building; one of the largest of its kind within the City of Portland. All water from the ecoroof is collected into one large 10” stormwater drain that runs under the ceiling of the upper parking level and eventually daylights at terraced planters. The planters run nearly the length of the building and are divided into four separate sections designed to hold and retain runoff.
Apartments include Energy Star-rated lighting, windows and appliances, water-efficient fixtures and toilets.
Finishes featuring low-emitting materials will reduce contaminants.
The envelope utilizes a rainscreen cladding system with a combination of cementitious and resin composite panels.
