All seven projects completed on the campus were CM/GC work and WALSH’s scope included new construction and renovation. Over $30 million in total, the work included Jackson Hall Science Building, Moriarty Arts & Humanities Building, Technical Education Center, Terrell Hall, Student Services Building, Physical Education Building, and Public Service Building. Careful planning for staging and deliveries was required to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of those using the pathways and the occupied adjacent buildings, as well as to preserve the nearby trees. One of the seven buildings, the Jackson Hall Science Building project, included a $6.3 million renovation of an existing structure and addition of a two-story, structural steel science laboratory. One of the most advanced educational science lab facilities in Portland, this 22,700 SF building is home to PCC Cascade’s Allied Health programs which include medical assisting, medical laboratory technology, ophthalmic medical technology, health information management and alcohol and drug counseling programs.
