Plaza Roberto Maestas is a mixed-use, affordable housing community that was designed and constructed to create affordable housing in a community-centered environment. By creating this specific housing model, the project provides not only affordable housing, but also an early child development and education center, economic opportunities, new jobs, and community gathering spaces.

The mixed-use development comprises two six-story buildings with 112 units throughout. The buildings’ multi-program design is intended to expand El Centro’s vibrant network of community services, including a 10,000 SF mutlicultural community center with classrooms for dual-language and bicultural education, retail and restaurant space, and diverse housing options, all highlighted by a central plaza featuring works from local and international artists. Commercial areas include childcare, event space, and offices for Beacon Development. Below that, there are five stalls of below grade parking. Located in Beacon Hill, Plaza Roberto Maestas will make public transit readily accessible to all residents.
