The existing site was overgrown with tall Doug Fir and Maple trees along with thick vegetation. Those trees were given a second life by milling and re-using them throughout the project as wood base/picture rails (corridors), benches (exterior), glulam tables (lounges and kitchens), glulam stair treads/landings (common area stair), entry columns (all exterior canopies) and other items such as the multi-purpose room’s wall featuring 2-inch cuts of various sizes from the original trees onsite.
