“I want to tell you that it was such a pleasure working with Walsh Construction on this project. Being in the AEC industry I have worked on many projects with many different contractors. My experience with Walsh Construction on this project honestly is one of the top project experiences I have had during my 20+ years. … No request for an invitation is ever needed. Our home is your home.” - Leonard Klein, P.E. Principal/Vice President Glumac
WALSH managed a very tight schedule, which was bound at the end by a move out date from Glumac’s previous space. Although design elements changed throughout construction, the project team was able to maintain the final turnover date.
Significant preconstruction and construction efforts were required to successfully achieve project schedule and budget goals, while also meeting LEED Platinum requirements. Project includes water fixtures that use 43% less water than code allowances, “Chilled sails” to provide energy-efficient radiant cooling and operable windows (the first in this building). The project team installed a custom energy dashboard to show real-time and past energy use, lending insight and the ability to make system changes in efforts to ever-improve energy usage.
WALSH offered a variety of measures to reduce overall cost of the project yet meet stringent LEED requirements .WALSH and Glumac also partnered with Gensler Architects to ensure the engineering systems would be perfectly integrated with clean and modern architecture in all spaces.
