Eastbridge Apartments is the next phase of the Greenbridge project. The residential portion of the project has 91 units. The development contains a mix of unit sizes, and is intended primarily for family occupancy. There are 6 one bedroom units, 35 two bedroom units, 38 three bedroom units, 10 four bedroom units and 2 five bedroom units. Eastbridge Apartments will be built on two sites, one east of 4th Avenue SW between SW 99th Place and SW 100th Street, and the other west of 6th Avenue SW between Roxbury and SW 99th Place. These blocks also include four parks in a variety of areas with a connecting trail system and right-of-way improvements.

Walsh is proactively pursuing a Section 3 hiring program, partnering with the YWCA Learning Center in Greenbridge to implement ways to reach the community. Working with YWCA, we organized a Career Fair to attract local residents from the Greenbridge and Park Place communities, and other local neighborhoods. It puts 90 units of affordable housing within reach of four new parks and a connecting system of public trails and right-of-way improvements. WCC’s outreach efforts go beyond the hiring statistics. To encourage participation from local residents, we are working with YWCA in partnership with Literacy Source, a training program that assists local residents as a resource for growth and learning.
