Anthem on 12th is the first private development of the Yesler Terrace redevelopment, one of the most ambitious neighborhood revitalizations in Seattle’s history.
The half-acre site, located on 12th Avenue and East Yesler Way, was purchased from the Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) in the fall of 2012. The six-story 118,000 square foot transit-oriented housing project consists of 120 apartments with 4,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space. All of the apartments are intended to be workforce housing, with 25% of the units committed to households earning 80% or less of area median income (AMI). The project is working with SHA to achieve the goal of filling 100% of new construction-related jobs created by the project with individuals earning less than 80% AMI.
The apartment mix will be comprised of studio, one and two bedroom apartments and is targeting LEED Silver Certification.
