We want to congratulate Catholic Charities of Oregon on the groundbreaking of Good Shepherd Village – 143 affordable apartments for low-income families, veterans and seniors in Happy Valley! Part of its innovative Healthy Housing Initiative, Catholic Charities will be working in conjunction with Providence Health & Services to connect newly-housed residents with primary health and mental health care, work to decrease hospital readmission rates among homeless persons and proactively address the challenges of chronic homelessness in the region.

What a Team on The Starlight for Central City Concern

What an incredible team and an inspiring project! The Starlight for Central City Concern (CCC) will provide 100 new homes of both permanent supportive housing and affordable housing for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Onsite services by Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. (NARA) and the Imani Center will offer culturally specific programming for Native American and African American individuals.

You might have seen our green letters flying high in several places around the city of Portland, Oregon. As experts in high-rise construction, we own and operate our own cranes. Currently, three of those cranes are at the following projects in downtown Portland:

– Parkview at Terwilliger Plaza, an 11-story, 370,000 SF high rise building set to hold 127 independent living apartments

– Waterleaf, a six-story affordable housing project in RiverPlace waterfront for Bridge Housing

– Holden of Pearl, a 16-story senior living tower in the Pearl District

The OREGON-COLUMBIA CHAPTER OF THE AGC OF AMERICA, INC Recognition of Safety Excellence (ROSE) Award recognizes chapter leaders in safety excellence and is presented to contractors who demonstrate a cultural commitment to safety, have innovative safety programs and have achieved zero work site fatalities and work site hazard identification and control. The top safety programs also feature active employee participation, safety training, and work site hazard identification and control.

An Incredible Team Effort at OMSI’s Camp Hancock

An incredible team effort at OMSI‘s Camp Hancock campus improvements with our WALSH teams, self-perform RDF BUILDERS CO and Dangermond Keane Architecture ! Located within the world-famous fossil beds of John Day National Monument and the juniper sage grasslands and desert valleys of Central Oregon, Hancock Field Station hosts OMSI’s overnight summer camps and outdoor education programs. The project included full demolition of the existing structure in order to expand the capacity of the facility to meet OMSI current and future needs. The 1745 SF bathhouse will serve the staff and visitors of the camp efficiently and improve the ADA access to allow more people to enjoy Camp Hancock in the years to come.

Brandon Fassiotto Promoted to Project Manager!

Please join us in congratulating Brandon Fassiotto on his promotion to Project Manager!

Brandon started his career with WALSH as an intern and upon graduation in 2012 he joined us a Project Engineer. He was promoted to the Assistant Superintendent role in January of 2015, and in November of the same year, the Superintendent role. As a Superintendent, he has worked on Meriwether Place, Redd East, NHA Hermiston, and most recently, Tenny Creek Assisted Living for Vancouver Housing Authority. His new role as Project Manager has him training with Portland’s estimating team.
