Our team had a great time hosting a tour of the PAE Living Building for Sustainable Building Week ! The tour learned about advancements in composting toilets, micro grids and repurposing trees from on-site into beautiful reception desks! Thanks to SBW for their efforts and congratulations to the entire team of PAE, ZGF Architects, Edlen & Company and our team at WALSH on the home stretch of this beautiful and innovative building.

Tanner joined our team as a Summer Intern in 2015 and 2016, working on the Vantage Apartments, 8th Ave. Apartments, Plaza Roberto Maestas and the Spring District projects. After graduating in 2017 from Central Washington University with a degree in Construction Management, Tanner rejoined our team as a Project Engineer at the Lake City Family Housing Project. He was promoted to Assistant Superintendent in 2019 where he worked on additional notable projects including 2020 Jackson and Little Saigon. Tanner is currently working on the Cedar Crossing project — 253 affordable homes for a joint partnership with Bellwether Housing and Mercy Housing Northwest!

Ethiopian Village for HumanGood Breaks Ground !
After many years of community visioning by the Ethiopian Community of Seattle (ECS) and long-time Walsh client HumanGood, we are excited to break ground on the Ethiopian Village project in southeast Seattle! This project will provide 90 affordable senior apartments and a renovated community gathering space to ECS and HumanGood, who are co-owners of the project. Expected completion in December 2022.

He is currently working on the Northhaven III project. Matt’s additional notable projects include Mount Baker Family Housing and Pioneer Belmont.

The Mary Ann Affordable Family Housing!
The team is on the home stretch for The Mary Ann — beautiful, affordable, family housing designed by Scott | Edwards Architecture for REACH CDC. The Mary Ann is the first project to start construction with funding from the Metro regional affordable housing bond and despite the challenges of the past year with supply-chain complications, forest fires and ice-storms, the project is on schedule and on budget! What a team.
