WALSH Quality Director, Marty Houston, presented “Mid Rise Wood Buildings: A U.S. Builder’s Perspective” at a workshop hosted by the HPO, Canadian Wood Council, FPInnovations and Forestry Innovation Investment in Vancouver, BC.
The workshop was an excellent forum to share information related to the design, planning and construction of mid-rise wood buildings in British Columbia. With an impressive line-up of speakers, topics ranged from fire safety design to the Building Act… to how mid-rise wood frame construction provides an alternative in delivering quality and affordable housing.
The HPO was pleased to coordinate this successful educational event, along with presenting partners, The Canadian Wood Council, FPInnovations and Forestry Innovation Investment. The day helped to strengthen industry partnerships and to enhance the quality of residential construction in British Columbia.
